Weleda lavender oil 10% is an anthroposophical medicine that is used to treat various ailments.These include vegetative balance disorders with nervous restlessness, difficulty falling asleep, tension and cramps, functional cardiovascular disorders, flatulence and menstrual disorders.The oil contains lavender oil and virgin olive oil as an oil base.

Application and dosage

Weleda lavender oil 10% is used 2 to 3 times daily.3 to 5 drops of the oil are applied to the affected areas of the body and rubbed lightly into the skin.In the case of vegetative balance disorders, difficulty falling asleep and functional cardiovascular disorders, the rub is applied to the left chest area.In the case of flatulence, the oil is distributed clockwise on the stomach, and in the case of menstrual disorders in the abdominal and lumbar areas.

For children aged 2 to 5 years, the oil is not rubbed into the skin, but only used as a compress.To do this, a piece of gauze or nettle cloth is sprinkled with a few drops of oil and warmed up.The warm oil cloth is placed around the child's chest and covered with cotton or wool.The patient should rest with the wrap on for about half an hour and feel comfortably warm but not sweaty.

Treatment of an acute illness should be completed after 2 weeks.If there is no improvement within 2 days, you should see a doctor.The duration of treatment for chronic diseases should be discussed with a doctor.

Precautions and contraindications

Weleda lavender oil 10% must not be used on open wounds, large skin injuries, eczema and acute skin diseases.The oil should also not be used if you are known to be hypersensitive to lavender and olive oil or in infants and small children under 2 years of age (risk of laryngeal spasm).

The oil should not be used on the breast area while breastfeeding.If symptoms persist or are unclear, a doctor should be consulted.

Side effects

The use of Weleda lavender oil 10% can lead to skin irritations, which subside after the preparation is discontinued.Hypersensitivity reactions, including shortness of breath, may occur in sensitized patients.

Composition and durability

10 ml Weleda Lavender Oil 10% contains 10 ml lavender oil (Lavandulae aetheroleum) and virgin olive oil as an oil base.The medicine has a shelf life of 3 months after opening the pack.It should not be used after the expiry date stated on the label and carton.
