Weleda lavender oil 10% is an anthroposophical medicine that is used to treat various ailments.These include vegetative balance disorders with nervous restlessness, difficulty falling asleep, tension and cramps, functional cardiovascular disorders, flatulence and menstrual disorders.No prescription is required for this product.

Areas of application

According to the anthroposophical knowledge of humanity and nature, Weleda lavender oil 10% is suitable for the treatment of vegetative balance disorders, difficulty falling asleep, tension and cramps, functional cardiovascular disorders, flatulence and menstrual disorders.

Composition

10 ml of the product contains 10 ml of lavender oil (Lavandulae aetheroleum 10%) as an active ingredient and virgin olive oil as an oil base.

Application

Weleda lavender oil 10% should always be used exactly according to the instructions in the package insert.The usual dose for adults and children aged 5 years and over is 3-5 drops 2-3 times daily, rubbed lightly into the skin or applied as a compress.For vegetative balance disorders and difficulty falling asleep, the rub is applied to the left chest area, for flatulence on the stomach in a clockwise direction and for menstrual disorders in the abdominal and lumbar area.Children aged 2 to 5 years should not rub the oil into the skin, but only use it as a compress.

Side effects

Like all medicines, Weleda lavender oil 10% can have side effects.Possible side effects include skin irritation, which may subside after discontinuing the preparation.Hypersensitivity reactions, including shortness of breath, may occur in sensitized patients.

Notes

Weleda lavender oil 10% must not be used on open wounds, large skin injuries, eczema or acute skin diseases.It should also not be used in cases of known hypersensitivity to lavender and olive oil or in infants and young children under 2 years of age.If symptoms persist or are unclear, a doctor should be consulted.The oil should not be used on the breast area while breastfeeding.
