Instructions for use for Kamillosan wound and healing bath

Kamillosan wound and healing bath is a herbal medicine that is used as a bath additive for use in inflammatory skin changes.It contains an extract from chamomile flowers, which has anti-inflammatory, wound-healing, irritation-relieving, pain-relieving and deodorizing effects.The active ingredient is an extract of chamomile flowers (1:4.0-4.5), and the extract agent is ethanol 38.5% (m/m), containing sodium acetate trihydrate, sodium ascorbate and sodium hydroxide.

The product is used as compresses, rinses and baths for inflammation of the skin and mucous membranes.It is suitable as a sitz bath for inflammatory diseases of the anal and genital area, for itching at the anus, to relieve the symptoms of hemorrhoids, anal fissures, anal eczema and perianal eczema, after operations in the anogenital area, and for the follow-up treatment of vaginal surgical wounds and episiotomies.

Application and dosage

Kamillosan wound and healing bath is intended for external use.For compresses and rinses, use 45 ml (1½ measuring cups) in 1 liter of water.For partial and sitz baths, use 30 ml (1 measuring cup) per 1 liter of water.The medicine should usually be used 1-2 times daily.The duration of the bath should not exceed 5-10 minutes for partial and sitz baths.

For compresses, the diluted solution should be applied in the form of compresses soaked in the diluted solution.The recommended bathing temperature is the temperature that you personally find most comfortable.

Contraindications and precautions

The medicine must not be used if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to chamomile and other composite plants.It should not be used as a partial and sitz bath for open wounds, large skin injuries, acute skin diseases, high fever and serious infections.The product should also not be used in the eyes and the eye area or for aerosol inhalation due to possible irritation.

There are no sufficient studies on the use of this medicine in infants and young children.For this reason and because of the alcohol content, Kamillosan wound and healing bath should not be used on children under 6 years of age.

Side effects

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.Possible side effects include hypersensitivity reactions, including in people with hypersensitivity to other plants from the Asteraceae family.Severe allergic reactions have been reported upon contact with mucous membranes.

Storage

Keep this medicine out of the reach and reach of children.You must not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the container and carton.After opening, Kamillosan wound and healing bath should not be used for longer than 12 months.This medicine does not require any special storage conditions.
