Instructions for use of Frontline Spray for dogs and cats
Frontline Spray 2.5 mg/ml is a spray for use on the skin and serves as a solution for dogs and cats. The active ingredient in this product is fipronil. It is used to treat dogs and cats against flea, tick and lice infestations. No prescription is required for this product.
Protectants against parasites
Pests in your own home are unpleasant. To prevent this, four-legged friends who live in the house should be treated regularly with special products. This treatment can kill fleas and ticks on the animal, prevent flea infestation in the home and reduce the risk of disease transmission by the parasites.
The Frontline Spray helps to reliably combat parasites on your pet.You can use it for dogs and cats.It is also well tolerated by young animals.
What effect does fipronil have?
The active ingredient fipronil in the pump spray fights fleas, ticks and lice.It works right from the first contact. The pests therefore do not need to be bitten in order for them to be killed. In addition, the effect is highly selective.Only the nerve center of the fleas and ticks is attacked. This means that the product is harmless to the animal.
How quickly does the Frontline Spray work?
The pump spray works immediately after application.Ticks can die within 48 hours and adult fleas within 24 hours. It is important to apply it regularly every four weeks so that there are no gaps in protection.
How do I use the spray?
Put on standard household gloves.Unlock the spray bottle.Raise your four-legged friend's fur until you see the skin.Spray the coat against the hairline until it is well moistened.Hold the bottle vertically.Depending on the length of the fur, give the pet six to twelve pump strokes per kg of body weight. Then rub your animal's fur and massage the solution in so that enough of the active ingredient reaches the skin.To treat the head, apply some spray solution to your gloved hand.Rub it on your four-legged friend's face.Avoid the nose and eyes. The active ingredient should dry in the air so that it can develop its effect.
What should I pay attention to?
The spray is harmless to humans. However, you should not come into direct contact with it and therefore wear gloves. You should only pet your four-legged friend again when the solution has dried completely.Treat your four-legged friend in a well-ventilated room or outdoors. It is only suitable for external use.Instead of the spray, you can also use a spot-on solution, for example Frontline Spot On Cat or Frontline Spot On Dog M.

Protective: The active ingredient contained works as soon as the parasite touches the skin; stinging is not necessary for the effect.
Tolerable: Low strain on the dog's organs and body as the active ingredient is stored in the sebaceous glands.
Individual: The amount of active ingredient can be adjusted exactly to the weight of the animal.
Safe: Can be used on puppies from their first day of life.
Application recommendation
Frontline should be used regularly because there is only complete protection if there is a continuous supply of sufficient active ingredient. The effectiveness against adult fleas remains effective for up to 3 months in dogs, up to 6 weeks in cats, and up to 4 weeks against ticks.
Choose a well-ventilated room for treatment or take the animal outside.Wear disposable gloves for treatment.Depending on the length of the fur, spray 6 to 12 pumps per kilogram of body weight onto the fur and skin at a distance of approx. 10 cm so that the entire body surface is well moistened. Then massage the active ingredient solution with your gloved hand so that the active ingredient reaches the skin.
To treat the head, apply some spray solution to your gloved hand and rub it onto the animal's face.Avoid the animal's eyes and nose. Then let the animal air dry.
How does Frontline work?
After application, the active ingredient is stored in the sebaceous glands and is continuously released with the sebum into the animal's fur and skin. For optimal distribution, animals should not be bathed for 48 hours before and after treatment.Parasites absorb the active ingredient through the shell when they come into contact with fur and skin and are thus killed.Frontline Spray can be used on puppies from the first day of life, including pregnant and lactating animals.Physical contact with the treated animal is harmless once the fur has dried.
