Transpulmin cold balm for children is a herbal medicine that is used to relieve symptoms of colds in the respiratory tract with viscous mucus.It can be used both to rub on the skin and to create a vapor for inhalation.The balm is specially designed for children and contains essential oils that help clear the nose of thick mucus and make coughs subside more quickly.

Mode of action

Transpulmin cold balm for children contains a mixture of essential oils that have a natural effect.Eucalyptus oil has an expectorant, virus-inhibiting effect and improves blood circulation.The oil from local pine needles has an antibacterial effect, relaxes the respiratory tract and loosens tough mucus.This combination promotes the clearing of the respiratory tract and increases well-being.

Active ingredients and ingredients

1 Gram of the balm contains 100 mg of eucalyptus oil and 30 mg of pine needle oil.The product also contains the following other ingredients: methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate (E 218), propyl 4-hydroxybenzoate (E 216), sodium methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate (E 219), sodium propyl 4-hydroxybenzoate (E 217), emulsifying glycerol monostearate (type II, 32/36, potassium salts), decyl oleate, yellow petroleum jelly, highly dispersedSilicon dioxide and purified water.

Contraindications

Transpulmin cold balm for children must not be used in cases of hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients, bronchial asthma, whooping cough, pseudocroup or other respiratory diseases with pronounced hypersensitivity of the respiratory tract.The balm should also not be used on damaged skin or if you have skin or childhood diseases with rashes.The balm is not suitable for infants and small children up to the age of 2.The product must not be used for inhalation in children under 6 years of age.The balm should also not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Dosage and application

Transpulmin cold balm for children can be used for inhalation and rubbing.For inhalation, a strand of ointment of the appropriate length is poured with water that is no longer boiling and the vapors are inhaled for a few minutes.To rub in, the balm is spread on the chest and/or back.The dosage depends on age and tube size.For children aged 2-5 years the single dose is 3-4 cm, for children aged 6-11 years it is 4-5 cm and for adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over it is 6-7 cm.The frequency of use varies depending on the form of application and age.

Intake and patient information

When inhaling, care should be taken to keep your eyes closed to avoid irritation of the conjunctiva.Hands should be washed thoroughly after use.The balm must not be used internally.Children should not inhale unattended and care should be taken to ensure that children do not allow their hands to come into contact with the rubbed areas of skin.The duration of use depends on the type, severity and course of the disease.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Transpulmin cold balm for children should not be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding as there are no sufficient studies on its use in pregnant women and the product is not suitable for these groups.

Storage

The medicine must be stored away from heat.After opening or preparation, the medicine may be used for a maximum of 12 months and must be stored at room temperature.
