How should Riopan stomach tablets be taken?

Always take Riopan stomach tablets exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.Adults and children over 12 years of age can take 1-2 chewable tablets several times a day as needed.The maximum daily dose is 8 chewable tablets, which corresponds to 6400 mg of magaldrate.

The chewable tablets should be chewed well and then washed down with a little liquid or sucked.Riopan stomach tablets are intended for short-term treatment.If symptoms persist for more than 2 weeks, you should consult a doctor.

In the event of an overdose, changes in stool behavior such as softening of the stool and increased frequency of bowel movements may occur.If you forget to take it, simply take the normal dose at the next time you take it.Do not take a double dose if you miss a dose.

What Riopan stomach tablets contain

The active ingredient in Riopan stomach tablets is magaldrate.Each chewable tablet contains 800 mg magaldrate.The other ingredients are sorbitol, macrogol 4000, calcium behenate, maltol, caramel flavor and cream flavor.

Contraindications

Pregnancy

Other

For stomach or duodenal ulcers, testing for Helicobacter pylori and appropriate treatment should be considered.If kidney function is impaired and long-term use of high doses, aluminum retention and phosphate depletion can occur.Aluminum blood levels should be checked regularly for long-term use.
