Instructions for use of Elacutan fat cream

Elacutan fat cream is a medicine for regulating skin moisture.The active ingredient is urea.The cream is used to treat dry skin, for example neurodermatitis, aging skin or exsiccation dermatoses.It also supports the treatment of ichthyosis, a congenital keratinization disorder of the skin.

No prescription is required for this product.

Areas of application

Elacutan fat cream is used to treat dry skin.This includes conditions such as neurodermatitis, aging skin and exsiccation dermatoses.In addition, the cream supports the treatment of ichthyosis, a disease characterized by impaired keratinization of the skin.

Dosage and application

Adults should apply the cream to the affected skin areas one to several times a day.The exact dosage and frequency of use depend on individual needs and should be coordinated with a doctor or pharmacist.The cream is applied directly to the skin and massaged in gently.Care should be taken to ensure that the cream does not come into contact with the eyes or mucous membranes.

Contraindications

Elacutan fat cream must not be used if there is an allergy to urea or one of the other ingredients.The cream should not be used for acute inflammatory skin conditions.If you have kidney disease, use on large areas of skin should be avoided.

Side effects

Like all medicines, Elacutan fat cream can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.Skin irritation may occur when used externally, particularly when acute inflammatory skin conditions are being treated.If side effects occur, you should stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist.

Composition

Elacutan fat cream contains 100 mg of urea per gram of cream.The other ingredients are white petroleum jelly, thin paraffin, hard paraffin, pre-gelatinized corn starch, sorbitan oleate, bleached wax, sorbitol, adipic acid and purified water.

Storage

The cream should be kept out of the reach of children and not stored above 25°C.After opening the tube, the cream can be used for a maximum of 15 months, but not longer than the expiry date stated on the packaging.
