Instructions for use for Fagron hydrogen peroxide solution 3%

Fagron hydrogen peroxide solution 3% is an antiseptic and disinfectant that is used to clean wounds and as a mouth disinfectant for bad breath, bleeding gums and inflammation of the oral mucosa.No prescription is required for this product.

Areas of application

After dilution with water, the solution is used to clean wounds and as a mouth rinse for bad breath, bleeding gums and inflammation of the oral mucosa.

Dosage instructions and method of application

Unless otherwise prescribed, the 3% hydrogen peroxide solution should be diluted 5 to 10 times with water before use.This corresponds to about 1 to 2 tablespoons in a glass of water.Use in closed body cavities should be avoided to avoid the risk of gas embolism.

Contraindications

In the case of a very rare, genetic catalase deficiency (acatalasemia), the effect of hydrogen peroxide solution 3% is reduced.

Composition

100 Grams of the solution contains 3 grams of hydrogen peroxide and water.The solution is stabilized with phosphoric acid (AB.).

Notes

The hydrogen peroxide solution 3% should not be stored above 25°C.It bleaches textiles and must be kept away from children.After the expiry date, the solution should no longer be used.
