Composition

Lavender tea consists of lavender flowers.The main ingredients are essential oils, especially linalool and linalyl acetate, which are responsible for the calming and antispasmodic effects.

Contraindications

There are no known contraindications when using lavender tea as a tea infusion.However, when used as a bath, lavender tea should not be used for major injuries, acute skin diseases, severe febrile and infectious diseases, heart failure and high blood pressure unless coordinated with a doctor.In addition, there are no adequately documented studies on its use during pregnancy, breastfeeding and children under 12 years of age, which is why lavender tea should not be used by these groups of people.

Dosage instructions and method of application

Unless otherwise prescribed, it is recommended to drink a cup of the tea infusion prepared as follows 2-3 times a day: Boiling water (approx. 150 ml) is poured over 2-3 filter bags of lavender tea and passed through a tea strainer after about 10-15 minutes.To prepare baths, 10-50 g of lavender flowers are used in 10 liters of water or a multiple thereof.

Duration of application

If the difficulty falling asleep, restlessness and anxiety or digestive problems persist for a longer period of time, as with all unclear complaints, a doctor should be consulted.
