What is Ardeydorm® and what is it used for?
Ardeydorm® is a sleeping pill that contains the active ingredient tryptophan.Tryptophan promotes sleep because it is a precursor to the neurotransmitter serotonin.A lack of serotonin in the brain during nighttime rest can lead to sleep disorders.Ardeydorm® promotes willingness to sleep and makes it easier to fall asleep if you have sleep disorders.No prescription is required for this product.

Ardeydorm® is used to promote willingness to sleep and to make it easier for people with sleep disorders to fall asleep.
Dosage and application
Always take Ardeydorm® exactly as described in the package leaflet or after consulting your doctor or pharmacist.The recommended dose for adults is 2 tablets daily (equivalent to 1 g of tryptophan).After consulting your doctor, the dose can be increased to up to 4 tablets (equivalent to 2 g tryptophan).Take the tablets with some liquid 20-30 minutes before going to bed.
The duration of use should be checked by your doctor after 3-4 weeks.There is no experience with long-term use.Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak.
What Ardeydorm® contains
The active ingredient is tryptophan.One tablet contains 500 mg of tryptophan.The other ingredients are cellulose powder, stearic acid (vegetable), magnesium stearate (vegetable), carboxymethyl starch sodium (type A), highly disperse silicon dioxide, talc, titanium dioxide and tricalcium phosphate.
Storage
Keep Ardeydorm® out of the reach of children and do not use it after the expiry date stated on the carton and container.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.Do not store the medicine above 25°C.
Contraindications
Ardeydorm® must not be taken if you are hypersensitive to tryptophan or any of the other ingredients, suffer from kidney failure, suffer from brain damage due to liver disease (hepatic encephalopathy) or suffer from Hedinger's syndrome (small intestinal carcinoid with heart damage).If you have low blood pressure or impaired kidney or liver function, you should talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking it.Children and adolescents under 18 years of age must not use the medicine.
Side effects
Possible side effects include headache, dizziness, drowsiness, increased sensitivity to light and low blood pressure.If you notice any discomfort or change during treatment, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Important notes
The ability to react can also be impaired when used as intended, especially in higher doses or in combination with alcohol.Pay particular attention when driving or operating machines.There may be medicines with which interactions occur.Therefore, before starting treatment with a new medicine, tell your doctor or pharmacist any other medicine you are already using.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
You should not take Ardeydorm® during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless your doctor decides that use is necessary and possible.
