Areas of application

Aspirin Plus C effervescent tablets are used for mild to moderate pain such as headaches, toothaches, menstrual pain and painful symptoms associated with colds.These can include, for example, headaches, sore throats and body aches.The effervescent tablets also help with fever.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The effervescent tablets contain the active ingredients acetylsalicylic acid and ascorbic acid (vitamin C).Acetylsalicylic acid has analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic effects.Vitamin C supports the effect of aspirin and additionally strengthens the immune system.

The other ingredients include sodium dihydrogen citrate, sodium hydrogen carbonate, citric acid and sodium carbonate (H2O-free).

Mode of action

Acetylsalicylic acid blocks the formation of prostaglandins, which are involved in the development of pain, fever and inflammation.Vitamin C accelerates the effect of aspirin and reduces irritation of the gastric mucosa, which improves tolerance.

Dosage and application

Children aged 9-12 can take one effervescent tablet one to three times a day.Adolescents and adults aged 12 and over can take one to two effervescent tablets three times a day.The interval between applications should be four to eight hours.The maximum daily dose of six effervescent tablets must not be exceeded.

Dissolve the effervescent tablet completely in a glass of water and drink it immediately.To reduce gastrointestinal discomfort, do not take the dissolved tablets on an empty stomach.

Contraindications

The medicine should not be used if you are hypersensitive to acetylsalicylic acid, salicylates or any of the other ingredients.Caution is also advised in the case of acute stomach and intestinal ulcers, increased bleeding tendency or liver and kidney problems.

Side effects

Possible side effects include gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, heartburn and stomach pain.In rare cases, allergic reactions may occur, especially in asthmatics.
