Area of application
Visco Vision Gel is a viscous wetting gel that can be used for dry eyes, foreign body sensation and visual stress.It is suitable for long-term moisturizing of the cornea and conjunctiva and can help with various causes of dry eyes, such as Sjögren's syndrome, mechanical stress after diagnostic procedures or environmental stress caused by air-conditioned rooms, wind, cold, dry or polluted air.Visco Vision Gel can also provide relief from fatigue and visual stress caused by intensive viewing, e.g. at computer screens, microscopes or long car journeys.
Mode of action
Visco Vision Gel contains 0.2% Carbomer 980 and has excellent mucoadhesive properties.Thanks to its even wetting of the surface of the cornea and conjunctiva, the eye is moisturized for a long-lasting and beneficial way.No prescription is required for this product.
Composition
1 g of Visco Vision Gel contains 2 mg carbomer 980, 0.1 mg cetrimide, 40 mg sorbitol, 0.84 mg sodium hydroxide, 0.1 mg disodium edetate and distilled water.
Contraindications
Visco Vision Gel should not be used if you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients.It is only suitable for external use and must not be used internally.
Dosage
Visco Vision Gel can be used as needed or as directed by your ophthalmologist.Generally, 1 drop of the gel is added to the conjunctival sac 3 to 4 times daily.Visco Vision Gel is suitable for long-term use.If symptoms persist for a long time, an ophthalmologist should be consulted.In the case of additional local treatment of the eyes, there should be an interval of 30 minutes between the two applications.Visco Vision Gel should be applied after the other products.
Application instructions
Wash your hands thoroughly before using Visco Vision Gel.To open, turn the screw cap counterclockwise until the safety lock breaks and remove the safety ring after opening for the first time.Tilt your head back slightly and pull your lower eyelid slightly away from your eye with your free hand.Hold the tube vertically over the eye and gently press the tube until a small drop forms.Introduce the drop into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye without touching the eye with the tip of the tube.Blink two or three times to distribute the gel evenly.After use, close the tube carefully and avoid touching the tip of the tube or bending the tube.
