Venostasin retard is a herbal medicine used to treat symptoms of diseases of the leg veins, known as chronic venous insufficiency.These include pain and heaviness in the legs, nighttime leg cramps, itching and leg swelling.On hot, humid, or strenuous days, calves and feet can often appear heavy and swollen.Vein health is important because blood vessels dilate in the summer and the venous valves no longer close properly, leading to backflow of blood.Visible symptoms of venous insufficiency are spider veins and varicose veins.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be taken if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to horse chestnut seed extract or any of the other ingredients.

Dosage

Always take Venostasin retard exactly as directed.Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, adults take 1 hard capsule, sustained release, daily in the morning and evening (corresponding to 100 mg aescin).Long-term treatment is possible after consulting your doctor.If the symptoms do not improve within 4 weeks of taking the medication, you should consult a doctor, as leg swelling can also have other causes.Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of the medicine is too strong or too weak.
