Area of application

Nortase hard capsules are used to support digestion in the event of impaired pancreatic function.This disorder results in inadequate production of digestive enzymes, which can lead to symptoms such as bloating, bloating, diarrhea, and abdominal pain after eating.Nortase replaces the missing enzymes and helps digest fats, carbohydrates and proteins.This normalizes the frequency and consistency of bowel movements and relieves digestive problems.

Mode of action

Nortase contains rhizoenzymes obtained from rice fungal cultures.These enzymes are very similar to the naturally occurring digestive enzymes in the human gastrointestinal tract.After ingestion, they mix with the chyme in the stomach and intestines and help break down the food.They break down fats, proteins and carbohydrates into smaller units, which aids in the digestion of food.Due to their acid stability, the rhizoenzymes can begin digestion in the stomach.

Nortase hard capsules contain the following active ingredients: Rizolipase, Aspergillus oryzae protease and Aspergillus oryzae amylase.The excipients include magnesium stearate, lactose-1-water, hypromellose, iron (III) oxide, red and titanium dioxide.

Contraindications

Nortase must not be taken in acute pancreatitis or in an acute episode of chronic pancreatitis.The product should also not be used if you are hypersensitive to mold or any of the other ingredients of Nortase.

Dosage

The recommended dose for mild to moderate symptoms is 2 to 3 capsules spread over the main meal.If symptoms are severe, 3 capsules can initially be taken spread over the main meal.1 capsule is enough for low-fat snacks and drinks containing milk.The dosage should be agreed individually with the treating doctor.

Intake

The capsules should be taken whole during a meal or snack with plenty of liquid such as water, juice or lukewarm tea.It is important not to chew the capsules to avoid damage to the mucous membranes in the oral cavity.

Patient information

Particular caution is required in patients with cystic fibrosis.In individual cases, strictures in the intestinal area can occur after administration of high doses of digestive enzymes.Nortase contains lactose, so if you have intolerance, the product should only be taken after consulting a doctor.If side effects occur or persistent symptoms occur, a doctor should be consulted.

Pregnancy

There are no concerns about taking Nortase during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
