Promogran is a sterile, freeze-dried matrix consisting of 55% collagen and 45% oxidized regenerated cellulose (ORC).This composition supports the creation of an optimal moist wound environment that is conducive to wound healing.Especially for wounds with delayed healing, Promogran can help treat them faster, more cost-effectively and with less pain.

In the presence of exudate, Promogran's protease modulating matrix forms a soft, conformable and biodegradable gel.This gel allows contact with all areas of the wound, which aids healing.

The size of the tamponades is 28 square centimeters.

Mode of action

Collagen and ORC in Promogran have been shown to reduce the concentration of proteases such as matrix metalloproteinases (MMP) and elastase.This can restore the balance of the microenvironment in the wound and promote granulation and wound closure.

Indications

Promogran Matrix is indicated for the treatment of all secondary healing wounds that are free of necrotic tissue.These include diabetic ulcers, venous ulcers, pressure ulcers, ulcers with various vascular causes, and traumatic and surgical wounds.Promogran Matrix also has hemostatic properties and can be used under compression therapy.No prescription is required for this product.Please adhere to the package leaflet during treatment.
