Bronchicum drops are a herbal medicine for the treatment of symptoms of acute bronchitis and colds of the respiratory tract with viscous mucus.The preparation is used for colds of the respiratory tract.No prescription is required for this product.

The active ingredients in Bronchicum drops are fluid extract from thyme herb and primrose root tincture.100 ml of the liquid contains 43.4 g of thyme herb fluid extract and 21.7 g of primrose root tincture.Thyme herb fluid extract is made with ammonia solution, glycerol, ethanol and water, while primrose root tincture is made with ethanol.The product also contains sucrose-invert sugar mixture, eucalyptus oil, levomenthol and purified water as other ingredients.

Contraindications

Bronchicum drops must not be used if there is hypersensitivity to the ingredients, especially to primrose, thyme or other mint plants.The medicine is not intended for children under 6 years of age as there are no sufficient studies.It is not recommended to be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless specifically prescribed by your doctor.

Dosage

Bronchicum drops should always be taken exactly as directed.Children between 6 and 12 years of age take 30 drops 3 to 5 times a day, which corresponds to a total daily dose of 90 to 150 drops.Adolescents aged 12 and over and adults take 35 drops 5 times a day, which corresponds to a total daily dose of 175 drops.There is no time limit on use, but medical advice should be sought if symptoms persist or the condition worsens.In the event of an overdose, side effects may increase and in the event of a missed dose, the next dose should be taken as usual.

Intake

Bronchicum drops should be taken evenly throughout the day on sugar or in hot tea.Before use, the bottle should be shaken well and held vertically.To make it easier to drip, you can lightly tap the bottom of the bottle.

Patient information

Particular caution is required in the event of long-term symptoms, shortness of breath, high fever or purulent/bloody sputum; in these cases, a doctor should be consulted immediately.Taking it does not affect the ability to drive or use machines.

Pregnancy

Due to insufficient research, the use of Bronchicum drops is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding unless expressly prescribed by the doctor.

Notes

Bronchicum drops contain 27.7% vol. alcohol, sucrose and invert sugar.The effect of other medicines may be impaired or increased.For information about risks and side effects, read the package leaflet and ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Other

Bronchicum drops have a shelf life of 6 months at room temperature after opening the bottle.The medicine should be kept out of the reach of children and should not be used after the expiry date stated on the label.Medicines should never be disposed of via wastewater, but should be disposed of via the pharmacy or household waste to protect the environment.
