IbuHEXAL acute 200 film-coated tablets contain the active ingredient ibuprofen and are used for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain and fever.The medicine has an analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic effect.It is available without a prescription.

Areas of application

IbuHEXAL acute 200 is used for mild to moderate pain such as headaches, toothaches and period pains as well as fever.The active ingredient ibuprofen inhibits the formation of prostaglandins, which are involved in the development of pain, inflammation and fever.

Dosage and application

The recommended dose is:

Children aged 6 to 9 years (20 to 29 kg body weight): 1 film-coated tablet (200 mg ibuprofen) 1 to 3 times a day at an interval of 6 hours.

Children aged 10 to 12 years (30 to 39 kg body weight): 1 film-coated tablet (200 mg ibuprofen) 1 to 4 times daily with an interval of 6 hours.

Adolescents aged 12 and over and adults (body weight from 40 kg): 1 to 2 film-coated tablets (200 to 400 mg ibuprofen) 1 to 4 times a day, but not more than 6 film-coated tablets (1200 mg ibuprofen) per day.

Take the film-coated tablets whole with plenty of liquid.If you have a sensitive stomach, you should take the tablets with meals.Without medical advice, adults should not use the medicine for more than 4 days for pain and for no longer than 3 days for fever.Children and adolescents should not use the medicine for longer than 3 days without medical advice.

Contraindications

IbuHEXAL acute 200 must not be used if you are hypersensitive to ibuprofen or any of the other ingredients, if you have ulcers in the digestive tract or if you have active bleeding.Caution is advised in the case of gastrointestinal complaints, inflammatory bowel diseases, blood formation disorders, blood clotting disorders, high blood pressure, heart failure, coronary heart disease, circulatory disorders, impaired kidney or liver function and collagen diseases.Children under 6 years of age should not use the medicine.

Side effects

Possible side effects include gastrointestinal complaints such as nausea, vomiting, heartburn, flatulence, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain, bleeding in the gastrointestinal area, headache, dizziness, fatigue, insomnia, irritability, skin hypersensitivity reactions, attacks of shortness of breath and visual disturbances.If tarry stools or vision problems occur, you should consult a doctor immediately.

Composition

Active ingredient: Ibuprofen 200 mg.Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, hypromellose, macrogol 400, magnesium stearate, colloidal silicon dioxide, talc, titanium dioxide.

Important notes

The ability to react may be impaired.Pay attention when driving or operating machines.If you have pain or fever, do not use for longer than stated in the package leaflet without medical advice.If you use painkillers long-term, you may experience headaches caused by the painkiller.Be careful if you are allergic to painkillers or binding agents.There may be medicines with which interactions occur.Alcohol consumption should be avoided if possible during long-term treatment.

Storage

Keep the medicine out of the reach and reach of children.Do not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the carton and blister pack.
