Areas of application

Goldgeist Forte Liquid is a product for the quick and thorough destruction of lice and nits.It is used for head lice, pubic lice and body lice.No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredients and ingredients

Goldgeist Forte contains pyrethrum extract as an active ingredient, which is obtained from the flowers of Chrysanthemum cinerariaefolium.This extract is adjusted to 25% pyrethrins.The other ingredients include piperonyl butoxide, chlorocresol, diethylene glycol, sodium lauryl ether sulfate solution, purified water, isopropanol, macrogol-6-glycerol caprylocaprate, isoparaffins, odorants, quinoline yellow E 104 and phosphoric acid for pH adjustment.

Fragrances included

The product contains fragrances with benzyl alcohol, cinnamaldehyde, 3-phenylprop-2-en-1-ol, citral, citronellol, D-limonene, farnesol, geraniol, 7-hydroxy-3,7-dimethyloctanal, linalool and 3-methyl-4-(2,6,6-trimethylcyclohex-2-en-1-yl)but-3-en-2-one.

Application

Goldgeist Forte is applied to the affected areas and washed off with warm water after 30 to 45 minutes.In the case of head lice, the hair should be thoroughly soaked and massaged.A check should be carried out after 8 to 12 days to ensure the success of the treatment.If necessary, the treatment can be repeated.

Dosage

For long hair, use the entire contents of a 75 ml bottle, for short hair use about half.Young children should be treated with a maximum of 25 ml and should be supervised during use.If the pack size is 250 ml, the enclosed dosing cup should be used.

Contraindications

Goldgeist Forte must not be used if you are known to be hypersensitive to pyrethrum extract, synthetic pyrethrins of the allethrin type, piperonyl butoxide, chlorocresol or any of the other ingredients.It should not be used on infected or damaged skin, mucous membranes or around the eyes.Infants may only be treated under medical supervision.

Side effects

In rare cases, local skin irritation, itching and temporary redness of the treated areas may occur.Very rarely, contact sensitization can occur.Chlorocresol can cause allergic reactions.

Precautions and warnings

Contact with the eyes should be avoided as mucous membrane irritation may occur.Multiple applications on the same treatment day or daily use over several days can cause skin dryness, itching, redness and increased dandruff on the scalp.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, Goldgeist Forte should only be used after consulting a doctor.If you have a body lice or pubic lice infestation during pregnancy, the product should not be used due to insufficient experience with large-area application and possible local effects.

Storage

Goldgeist Forte should be protected from heat and kept in the dark.After opening the pack, the medicine may be used for a maximum of 3 months and must be stored at room temperature and in the dark.

Application errors and overdose

Goldgeist Forte should not be brought into the eyes or used around the eyes, nose and mouth.If accidentally swallowed, your mouth should be rinsed immediately with plenty of water.Tell your doctor or pharmacist immediately and show him the package or contact the nearest poisoning advice center.
