Area of application

This product is used to quickly and thoroughly combat lice and nits.It is effective against head lice, pubic lice and body lice.No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The product contains 3 mg of pyrethrum flower extract extracted with n-hexane and methanol/isoparaffin.It also contains 0.75 mg of pyrethrins.The excipients included are quinoline yellow, 400 mg diethylene glycol, an odor corrector, isoparaffin C13-14, isopropyl alcohol, sodium lauryl ether sulfate solution (27 percent), phosphoric acid, 7 mg piperonyl butoxide, polyoxyethylene (6) caprylic acid/capric acid glyceride, purified water and 9 mg chlorocresol.

Contraindications

The product must not be used in cases of known hypersensitivity to pyrethrum extract or synthetic pyrethrins of the allethrin type.It should not be used on infected or damaged skin, mucous membranes or around the eyes.Infants may only be treated under medical supervision.

Dosage and application

When dealing with head lice, it is important to completely wet the scalp and hair.The hair should be thoroughly soaked with the product and rubbed in a massage.For long hair, the entire contents of a 75 ml bottle are required; for short hair, about half.The liquid should be left on for at least 30 minutes to a maximum of 45 minutes.The hair is then rinsed thoroughly with warm water and combed out with a fine-toothed comb to remove the dead nits.A check should be carried out after 8 to 12 days to ensure the success of the treatment.For pubic lice, the product is applied liberally to the affected areas and washed off thoroughly with warm water after 30 to 45 minutes.In the case of body lice, contaminated clothing must be disinfested and the hairy parts of the body treated for half an hour and then washed thoroughly.Young children should be treated with a maximum of 25 ml at a time and should be supervised during treatment.

Patient information

Contact with the eyes should be avoided as mucous membrane irritation may occur.Multiple applications on the same treatment day or daily use over several days can cause skin dryness, itching, redness and increased dandruff on the scalp.If the product has been used internally or swallowed, your mouth should be rinsed out immediately with plenty of water and a doctor or pharmacy should be contacted immediately.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

In the first three months of pregnancy and during breastfeeding, the product should only be used according to strict indications.If you have a body lice or pubic lice infestation during pregnancy, the product should not be used due to insufficient experience with large-area application and possible local effects.
