Hevert Dorm tablets are a sleeping pill with the active substance diphenhydramine hydrochloride. They are used for the short-term treatment of difficulties in falling asleep and staying asleep. The tablets should be taken unchewed and in the evening about 30 minutes before going to bed with sufficient liquid. The recommended dose for adults is 2 tablets (corresponding to 50 mg diphenhydramine hydrochloride), which should not be exceeded. In case of impaired liver or kidney function and in elderly or debilitated patients, it is recommended to adjust the dose. Children and adolescents under 18 years of age should only be treated with Hevert Dorm after careful consideration of the risks and benefits. The duration of treatment should be as short as possible and usually not longer than two weeks. If sleep disturbances persist, you should consult a doctor. The medicine may cause side effects such as gastrointestinal discomfort, dry mouth, headache and drowsiness. It contains lactose and must not be used if you are hypersensitive to diphenhydramine hydrochloride or other ingredients, have certain heart conditions, suffer from asthma, are pregnant or breastfeeding. Before use, it is important to consider possible interactions with other medicinal products and to consult the doctor or pharmacist in case of other contraindications such as potassium or magnesium deficiency, impaired kidney or liver function, certain constrictions in the digestive tract or other diseases.
