Summary: Vitamin B6 Hevert tablets contain the active substance pyridoxine hydrochloride and are used for the treatment of various diseases. In adults, they are used for the treatment of peripheral neuropathy due to vitamin B6 deficiency caused by taking medicines such as isoniazid, D-penicillamine or cycloserine, and for the treatment of pyridoxine-dependent disorders. In children, they are used for the treatment of peripheral neuropathy, maintenance therapy after vitamin B6 deficiency-induced convulsions in newborns and infants, and for the treatment of pyridoxine-dependent disorders. The dosage is determined individually by the attending physician and varies according to age and type of disease. Vitamin B6 Hevert tablets should be taken unchewed with sufficient liquid. The duration of use depends on the type and severity of the underlying disease. Possible side effects include, but are not limited to, sensory disturbances, increased sensitivity of the skin to light, hypersensitivity, skin reactions, circulatory collapse and gastrointestinal complaints. An overdose may lead to neurotoxic effects. In pregnancy and lactation, a doctor should be consulted before use. The medicinal product should not be used after the expiry date. The tablets should be kept away from children and stored in the original packaging. Individual dosage and application can be determined by the doctor.
