Instructions for use of the article Cetirizine HEXAL drops for allergies Important information (compulsory information): Cetirizine Hexal drops for allergies. Active substance: cetirizine dihydrochloride. Indications: For the relief of nasal and eye symptoms in seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis and for the relief of hives (urticaria). For risks and side effects, read the package leaflet and ask your doctor or pharmacist. Product characteristics: What are Cetirizine HEXAL drops for allergies and what are they used for? Cetirizine HEXAL drops for allergies contain the active substance cetirizine dihydrochloride and are used to relieve nasal and eye symptoms in seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis and to relieve hives. How are cetirizine HEXAL drops used for allergies? The dosage depends on age: adults and adolescents over 12 years of age take 20 drops once a day, children between 6 and 12 years of age take 10 drops twice a day, children between 2 and 6 years of age take 5 drops twice a day. In case of kidney weakness, a lower dosage is recommended. It should be taken with water or tea. The duration of use depends on the individual symptoms and should be discussed with a doctor or pharmacist. How should Cetirizine HEXAL drops for allergies be stored? The drops should be kept out of reach of children and should not be used after the expiry date which is stated on the label and outer carton. They can still be used for 6 months after opening. Other important information: - Do not dispose of Cetirizine HEXAL drops in the waste water in case of allergies. - The drops contain 10 mg of cetirizine dihydrochloride per 1 ml of solution. - Side effects may include gastrointestinal discomfort, headache, dizziness and tiredness. - People with certain pre-existing conditions or in special life situations should consult a doctor or pharmacist before use.
