Directions for use of the article Lorano akut Tabletten. Active substance: Loratadine. Indications: For the treatment of the symptoms of allergic inflammation inside the nose, e.g. hay fever, and chronic hives of unknown cause. Lorano akut belongs to the group of antihistamines. Lorano akut is used to treat the symptoms of allergic inflammation inside the nose, e.g. hay fever, and chronic hives of unknown cause. Lorano akut must not be taken if you are allergic to loratadine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine. Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Lorano acute if you have severe liver dysfunction or plan to have a skin test. You should stop taking Lorano acute at least 48 hours before having skin tests. Lorano acute is not recommended for children under 2 years of age as its efficacy and safety have not been established. Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking/using other medicines. No significant interactions with other medicines have been described. Food has no influence on the effect of loratadine. The effect of alcohol is not increased by taking loratadine. The use of Lorano acute during pregnancy and breast-feeding is not recommended. In rare cases, Lorano akut can cause drowsiness and an impaired ability to drive or operate machinery. Please do not take Lorano akut if you suffer from sugar intolerance. Always take this medicine exactly as described in the leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. The recommended dose for adults and children over 12 years of age is 1 tablet 1 time daily. For children aged 2-12 years, the dosage is based on body weight. The tablet can be taken independently of meals. Take Lorano acute for as long as the symptoms last or as prescribed by your doctor. In the event of an overdose, you should contact your doctor or pharmacist immediately. If you forget to take Lorano acute, take the forgotten dose as soon as possible on the same day and continue as recommended. The most common side effects include drowsiness, headache, increased appetite and difficulty sleeping. In rare cases, serious allergic reactions, dizziness, convulsions, accelerated or irregular heartbeat, nausea, dry mouth, stomach upset, liver dysfunction, hair loss, rash and tiredness may also occur. Keep out of the reach of children. Do not use the medicine after the expiry date.
