Jelonet is a paraffin gauze wound dressing that serves as an adhesive protection between the wound and an absorbent secondary dressing.The soft paraffin base and the sterile gauze fabric enable gentle and painless dressing changes.In addition, wound exudate can flow freely into the secondary dressing.

Properties

Jelonet consists of a soft paraffin base and a sterile gauze fabric.It is available in various dimensions and is characterized by its dimensionally stable and fray-free structure.The gauze grids are connected in a chain shape, which minimizes fraying when cutting.

The paraffin gauze wound dressing is permeable to air and exudate, which helps prevent skin maceration.The ointment coating protects the wound surface and edges.Jelonet enables atraumatic dressing changes and ensures undisturbed wound rest.It is also pain-relieving and latex-free.

Areas of application

Jelonet can be used to treat burns and scalds, skin graft wounds at donor and transplant sites, wounds with skin loss, lacerations and abrasions, and leg ulcers.
