Information for use with the article Terbinafine hydrochloride Stada 10mg/g cream: Terbinafine hydrochloride STADA 10 mg/g cream is a medicine used to treat fungal infections of the skin. It contains the active substance terbinafine hydrochloride and belongs to a group of medicines for fungal infections. The cream is used against certain yeasts and skin fungi, of which athlete's foot is the best known. It is used externally and should always be applied exactly according to the instructions for use or after consulting a doctor or pharmacist. The affected skin area and its surroundings should be thinly covered with the cream and lightly rubbed in. In the case of skin folds, the treated skin area should be covered with a sterile gauze at night. The duration of application depends on the type of symptoms. Generally, the symptoms improve after a few days. There are no special dosages or side effects in older people compared to younger patients. The medicine is not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age. The medicine should be kept away from children and should not be used after the stated expiry date. In addition to terbinafine hydrochloride, the cream also contains cetyl alcohol and cetylstearyl alcohol.
