Zink Verla® OTC 20 mg film-coated tablets are a mineral preparation that is used to treat proven zinc deficiency and as part of treatment with penicillamine and other complexing agents.The product is available without a prescription.The small film-coated tablets are easy to swallow and contain organic zinc gluconate for good absorption and bioavailability in the body.They are also gluten-free, lactose-free, sugar-free and vegan.

Active ingredients and ingredients

Each film-coated tablet contains 140 mg D-gluconic acid, zinc salt (2:1), which corresponds to 20 mg zinc ion.Other ingredients include microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, colloidal silica, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, ethyl cellulose and triethyl citrate.

Application and dosage

The usual dosage for adults is 1 film-coated tablet once a day.The film-coated tablets should be taken whole with liquid, well before meals (approx. 1 hour).The duration of intake depends on needs and the success of the treatment.

Contraindications

This medicine must not be taken if you are allergic to zinc D-gluconate or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Patient information

Particular caution is required when taking the product for a long period of time (several months).In this case, zinc and copper should be monitored through laboratory diagnostics.There are no data on use in children and adolescents.No special precautions are required regarding the ability to drive and use machines.

Pregnancy

There are no restrictions on taking the drug within the recommended dose range.
