Description

This product is a herbal stimulating laxative that is particularly suitable for short-term use in cases of constipation.It is a medicinal tea that works on a natural basis.No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The tea contains 750 mg of senna leaves as an active ingredient.Strawberry leaves are included as an excipient.These ingredients contribute to the laxative effect of the tea.

Contraindications

This medicine must not be used if you are hypersensitive to senna leaves or strawberry leaves.Its use is also prohibited in cases of intestinal obstruction, intestinal narrowing or relaxation of the intestinal muscles.Acute inflammatory diseases of the intestine, such as Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis or appendicitis, are also contraindications.The tea must not be taken in the case of abdominal pain of unknown cause, severe dehydration in the body with loss of water and salt, during pregnancy and breastfeeding, and in children under 10 years of age.

Dosage

Always take the medicine exactly as directed.The following information applies unless your doctor has prescribed the product differently.Adults and children aged 10 and over should drink 1 cup of a tea infusion prepared as follows twice a day: 1 tea bag is poured with boiling water (approx. 150 ml) and allowed to steep for around 10 to 15 minutes.The individually correct dosage is the lowest required to obtain soft-shaped stools.If necessary, just 1 cup of tea infusion may be enough.

The stimulant laxative must not be used for a long period of time (more than 1 - 2 weeks) without medical advice.Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak.

In the event of an accidental or intentional overdose, painful intestinal cramps and severe diarrhea resulting in water and salt losses as well as possibly severe gastrointestinal complaints can occur.Overdose over a long period of time can lead to liver damage.In case of overdose, please notify a doctor immediately.He will decide what countermeasures (e.g. adding liquid and salts) may be necessary.

If you forget to use the medicine, do not make up for the forgotten application, but rather continue using it as originally intended.

Intake

1 Tea tea bag is poured with boiling water (approx. 150 ml) and left to steep for about 10 to 15 minutes.If possible, you should drink the tea infusion in the evening before going to bed.The effect usually occurs after 8 - 12 hours.

Patient information

Particular caution is required when using this medicinal product if the symptoms described under the “Indication” category become more severe.In this case, ask your doctor or pharmacist.Taking stimulating laxatives beyond short-term use can lead to an increase in intestinal sluggishness.

Senna leaves should only be used if the constipation cannot be resolved through a change in diet or bulking preparations.In incontinent adults, when drinking tea infusions made from senna leaves, prolonged skin contact with the feces should be avoided by changing the container.

Tea infusions should always be prepared with boiling water.Making tea with warm water is not sufficient.Children under 10 years of age are not allowed to drink tea infusions made from senna leaves.

There is no experience with regard to impairment of the ability to drive or use machines.

Pregnancy

Tea infusions made from senna leaves must not be drunk during pregnancy or breastfeeding due to insufficient toxicological testing.
