Chamomile flower tea is a herbal medicine that is traditionally used for various ailments.It can be used internally and externally.No prescription is required for this product.
Areas of application
Chamomile flower tea is traditionally used for gastrointestinal complaints such as flatulence and mild cramps.It can be used as an inhalation to relieve cold symptoms.Gargling in the oral cavity helps with mild inflammation in the mouth and throat.The tea can be used externally as an additive to partial and sitz baths or rinses for inflammation of the skin and mucous membranes in the anal and genital areas, provided that serious illnesses have been ruled out by a doctor.It is also suitable as an additive for moist compresses and washings for minor skin inflammations and superficial wounds.These applications are based on many years of experience with the drug in the specified areas of application.

Chamomile flower tea contains chamomile flowers as an active ingredient.100 grams of medicinal tea contains 100 grams of chamomile flowers.No other components are included.
Contraindications
Chamomile flower tea should not be used if there is hypersensitivity to chamomile flowers or other daisy family plants such as arnica, marigolds or yarrow.
Dosage
The dosage of chamomile flower tea depends on the type of application and the age of the user.Generally, the tea is prepared by pouring hot water over the chamomile flowers and then straining.
For internal use in young people aged 12 and over and adults, the single dose is 1.5 to 4 grams of chamomile flowers, which are poured over with 150 milliliters of boiling water.The daily dose is 3 to 4 times a day.Children aged 6 to 11 receive 1.5 to 3 grams of chamomile flowers 2 to 4 times daily.Children aged 2 to 5 years receive 1.0 to 1.5 grams, also 2 to 4 times daily.Children from 6 months to 1 year receive 0.5 to 1.0 grams, 2 to 4 times daily.
For inhalation, 3 to 10 grams of chamomile flowers are poured over 100 milliliters of boiling water for adolescents aged 12 and over and adults, several times a day.Children aged 6 to 11 years receive 2 to 5 grams, 1 to 2 times daily.
For adolescents aged 12 and over and adults, 1 to 5 grams of chamomile flowers are poured into the oral cavity with 100 milliliters of boiling water and strained after 5 to 10 minutes.The infusion is used several times a day for rinsing or gargling.
As an addition to partial and sitz baths or rinses for inflammation of the skin and mucous membranes in the anal and genital areas, 4.5 to 5 grams of chamomile flowers per 1 liter of water are used for adolescents aged 12 and over and adults, several times a day.
For moist compresses and washings for minor skin inflammations and superficial wounds, 3 to 10 grams of chamomile flowers are poured over 3 to 10 grams of chamomile flowers with 150 milliliters of boiling water and strained after 5 to 10 minutes.The infusion is used 3 times a day.
