Directions for use of the article Widmer Lipactin Gel: - Lipactin Gel is used for the treatment of cold sores (herpes labialis). It is applied locally to the skin. - The gel contains the active ingredients heparin sodium (175 I.U.) and zinc sulphate (5 mg). - Before use, it should be noted that the gel should not be used in cases of hypersensitivity to the active substances or other components of the medicinal product. It is also not suitable for children under 6 years of age. - Contact with the eyes should be avoided during use and the gel should be discontinued immediately if hypersensitivity reactions occur. - The recommended dose is to apply a thin layer to the affected areas 3-6 times a day. Treatment should be continued until the symptoms disappear, but for a maximum of 7 to 10 days. - Side effects may occur in rare cases, such as a burning sensation when applied.
