Diarrhea can be caused by various factors, including viral or bacterial infections, food poisoning or psychological stress.Charcoal Hevert® helps to bind toxins and bacterial breakdown products, thereby reducing intestinal irritation.The medical charcoal in Hevert® coal is obtained from renewable plant raw materials and binds pollutants such as heavy metals, environmental chemicals or drug residues.

No prescription is required for this product.It is important to drink plenty of fluids when taking Charcoal Hevert® so that the carbon can be optimally distributed in the intestines and the fluid loss in the event of diarrhea is compensated for.

Mode of action

Charcoal Hevert® dissolves into tiny particles in the gastrointestinal tract and is distributed there.This creates a large surface area that can bind and remove toxins.The finely dispersed carbon particles in the intestine reduce the surface tension of gas bubbles and thus reduce flatulence.

Contraindications

Coal Hevert® must not be taken if you have feverish diarrhea.The preparation should also not be used in the event of poisoning by pesticides.

Dosage

If you have diarrhea, adults should dissolve 2 to 4 tablets in plenty of liquid 3 to 4 times a day.Children should dissolve 1 to 2 tablets in plenty of liquid 3 to 4 times a day.In the event of poisoning, the dose can be increased to 50 tablets mixed in liquid to form a paste.

Intake

The tablets should be allowed to disintegrate in plenty of liquid before taking.They can also be taken chewed or whole with plenty of liquid.In the event of poisoning, it is also recommended to take a saline laxative such as sodium sulfate 30 to 60 minutes later.

Patient information

If you suspect poisoning, you should contact a doctor or emergency services immediately.Different or additional measures are required for various poisons and medicines.Coal Hevert® is not effective in cases of poisoning with organic and inorganic salts and solvents.

Pregnancy

There are no restrictions regarding the use of Kohl Hevert® during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

How are Kohl Hevert® tablets used?

Kohl Hevert® tablets should be taken for diarrhea until bowel movements normalize.If treatment remains unsuccessful after 3 days, a doctor should be consulted.The tablets should not be taken directly with other medicines as their effectiveness may be reduced.
