Paracetamol 500 mg HEXAL® contains the active ingredient paracetamol.One tablet contains 500 mg paracetamol.The other ingredients are povidone K29-32, corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, silicon dioxide, magnesium distearate and stearic acid.

Contraindications

Paracetamol 500 mg HEXAL® must not be used in cases of known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients, during pregnancy and breastfeeding, in children under 4 years of age, in liver diseases, Meulengracht disease and kidney diseases.

Dosage

The dosage of the active ingredient paracetamol depends on body weight and age.The single dose is 10-15 mg/kg body weight, the maximum total daily dose is 60 mg/kg body weight.The dosing interval should not be less than 6 hours and the maximum daily dose must not be exceeded.

Dosage recommendation according to the manufacturer: Children between 4-8 years with a body weight of 17-25 kg: Single dose ½ tablet (250 mg paracetamol), maximum daily dose 2 tablets (1000 mg paracetamol).Children between 8-11 years with a body weight of 26-32 kg: single dose ½ tablet (250 mg paracetamol), maximum daily dose 2 tablets (1000 mg paracetamol).Children between 11-12 years old with a body weight of 33-43 kg: single dose 1 tablet (500 mg paracetamol), maximum daily dose 4 tablets (2000 mg paracetamol).Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age with a body weight of 43 kg or more: single dose 1-2 tablets (500-1000 mg paracetamol), maximum daily dose 8 tablets (4000 mg paracetamol).

Intake

Take the tablets whole with sufficient liquid.Taking it after meals may result in a delayed onset of action.
