Tannolact® 40% bath additive

Tannolact® 40% bath additive is a dermatic product intended for use on the skin.It is used for skin diseases associated with inflammation, oozing and itching.Due to its dosage form, it is particularly suitable for the symptomatic treatment of acute, inflammatory, weeping and itching skin diseases in hard-to-reach areas of the skin, such as in the body folds and in the anal and genital areas.It also supports the treatment of diaper rash and excessive sweat secretion (hyperhidrosis).

The use of Tannolact® 40% bath additive is particularly pleasant and well tolerated.The product is dissolved in water and can be dosed individually.It offers a wide range of uses, ranging from full, partial and sitz baths to moist compresses and cold compresses.Tannolact® 40% bath additive can also be used to support the healing of skin injuries after childbirth.It is also a good complement to other Tannolact® products and can be combined with them.

Active ingredients / ingredients / ingredients

The active ingredient in Tannolact® 40% bath additive is phenolsulfonic acid-phenol-urea-formaldehyde condensate, sodium salt.The other ingredients are calcium dilactate-5-water and anhydrous sodium sulfate.

Contraindications

Tannolact® 40% bath additive must not be used if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to the active ingredient or any of the other ingredients.It must not be used on the eyes.Because of the strain on the circulatory system, you should not take a full bath if you have severe heart and circulatory disease, high blood pressure, feverish illnesses or tuberculosis.

Dosage

Always use Tannolact® 40% bath additive exactly according to the instructions.Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.The usual dose is:

Full baths (for adults): 30 g to approx. 150 l of water.Full baths (for children): 5 g to approx. 25 l of water.Sitz baths: 10 g to approx. 25 l of water.Partial baths (hand, arm, leg or foot baths): 5 g to approx. 10 l of water.Wet compresses, washings and cold compresses: 5 g in approx. 5 l of water.

For acutely inflamed skin that reacts with pain and burning even when lightly touched, it is recommended to reduce the concentration: 2.5 g to approx. 5 l of water.

The duration of treatment depends on the clinical picture of the skin disease and is generally between 3 and 14 days.If the illness has existed for a long time, the medicine can also be used for a longer period of time.The treating doctor decides on the duration of use.

Intake

To use, dissolve the required amount in cold or warm water (32°C - 35°C).To dissolve the medication more quickly, it is recommended to add the required amount to the stream of incoming water and then distribute it by hand.In the presence of alkaline soaps, the effectiveness is impaired, so soap should not be used at the same time as the bath.

Patient information

Particular caution is required when using larger skin injuries and acute skin diseases.Talk to your doctor before use.The medicine has an eye-irritating effect.Be careful not to get the medicine in your eyes.If the medicine, especially undiluted, accidentally comes into contact with the eyes, immediately rinse the eyes under running water for about 10 minutes and then consult an ophthalmologist.

Pregnancy

Before using any medicines, ask your doctor or pharmacy for advice.You can also use Tannolact® 40% bath additive during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
