The active ingredients of the Bronchicum Elixir

Bronchicum Elixir is specifically designed to relieve symptoms of acute bronchitis and colds.The extracts of thyme and primrose work together to achieve rapid improvement.Thyme is known for its expectorant, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, sedative and antispasmodic properties that gently relieve coughs.Primrose roots, obtained from the cowslip, also have an expectorant, anti-inflammatory and anti-spasmodic effect, which means that tough mucus can be coughed up.

Bronchicum Elixir is a herbal medicine that helps with respiratory diseases.It relieves symptoms of acute bronchitis and colds of the respiratory tract with viscous mucus.The Elixir contains a selected recipe of thyme oils and active ingredients from the medicinal primrose.

Mode of action

Bronchicum Elixir loosens stuck mucus and supports coughing, thereby improving the urge to cough.It works against inflammation of the bronchi and the natural components of the formula work against bacteria that can be partly responsible for the disease.

Bronchicum Elixir contains the following active ingredients: thyme herb fluid extract and primrose root fluid extract.The excipients are sucrose-invert sugar mixture, sodium benzoate and purified water.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients mentioned, the product should not be used.

Dosage

Bronchicum Elixir should be taken throughout the day.Adults, teenagers and children aged 5 and over should take 7.5 ml up to 4 times a day.Children under 5 years (approx. 8 - 16 kg) should receive 2.5 ml up to 6 times daily.

Intake

The medicine should be taken evenly throughout the day.You may be able to lightly tap the bottom of the bottle to pour it out.

Pregnancy

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.There are no sufficient studies of thyme and primrose preparations for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.The application is therefore not recommended.

Notes

Bronchicum Elixir is also suitable for children aged 6 months and over.

The valuable recipe made from thyme essential oil and active ingredients from primrose root has an expectorant effect and soothes irritated bronchi.The Elixir is very well tolerated, lactose-free, gluten-free and vegan.

Thyme has an expectorant, antibacterial and antispasmodic effect, while the saponins contained in primrose root also have an expectorant effect and promote coughing.The combination of thyme herb and primrose root in Bronchicum Elixir works synergistically.

The widespread use of thyme as a medicine and food and the use of primrose as a medicine have so far provided no evidence of risks during pregnancy and breastfeeding.However, there are no sufficient studies on the use of thyme and primrose preparations during pregnancy and breastfeeding.The use of Bronchicum Elixir in pregnant women and during breastfeeding is therefore not recommended.

Application

Unless otherwise prescribed, the single dose is: 1.0 ml 6 times a day for infants from 6 to under 12 months, 2.5 ml 6 times a day for small children from 1-4 years and 7.5 ml 4 times a day for children from 5 years, adolescents and adults.

Notes

Contains 4.9% alcohol by volume, sucrose (sugar) and invert sugar. Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.

5g juice contains: thyme herb fluid extract (1:2-2.5), extractant according to DAB 250mg primrose root fluid extract (1:2-2.5), extractant: ethanol 70% (m/m) 125 mg.Other ingredients: invert sugar solution, caramel, sodium benzoate, purified water, ethanol.
