The active ingredients of the Bronchicum Elixir

The Bronchicum Elixir is specifically designed to relieve symptoms of acute bronchitis and colds.The thyme and primrose extracts work together to provide rapid improvement.Thyme, known as a spice, also has healing properties.It has an expectorant, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, sedative and antispasmodic effect, which relieves coughs.Primrose roots, obtained from cowslip, have similar effects and help cough up thick mucus.

Bronchicum Elixir is a herbal medicine that helps with respiratory diseases.It relieves symptoms of acute bronchitis and colds of the respiratory tract with viscous mucus.The Elixir contains a selected recipe made from thyme oils and primrose active ingredients.

Mode of action

Bronchicum Elixir loosens stuck mucus and supports coughing.This reduces the urge to cough.The natural ingredients also work against bacteria that can contribute to the disease.

100 g liquid (equivalent to 75.36 ml) contains: thyme herb fluid extract (1:2-2.5), extractant: ammonia solution 10% (m/m), glycerol 85%, ethanol 90% (v/v), water (1:20:70:109) 5.0 g, primrose root fluid extract (1:2-2.5), extractant:Ethanol 70% (m/m) 2.5 g.Excipients: sucrose-invert sugar mixture, sodium benzoate, purified water.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients mentioned, the product should not be used.

Dosage

Recommended use: Bronchicum Elixir should be taken throughout the day.Adults, teenagers and children aged 5 and over should take 7.5 ml up to 4 times a day.Children under 5 years (approx. 8 - 16 kg) should receive 2.5 ml up to 6 times daily.

Intake

The medicine should be taken evenly throughout the day.You may be able to lightly tap the bottom of the bottle to pour it out.

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.There are no studies of thyme and primrose preparations for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.The application is therefore not recommended.

Notes

Bronchicum Elixir is also suitable for children aged 6 months and over.

The medicinal plant combination of thyme and primrose has an expectorant, antispasmodic effect and promotes coughing.Bronchicum Elixir is suitable for children from 6 months.Other Bronchicum preparations can be used in children from 6 years of age or from the first day of life.

The widespread use of thyme and primrose as medicines has so far provided no evidence of risks during pregnancy and breastfeeding.However, there are no sufficient studies available, so its use is not recommended.

Bronchicum Elixir contains 4.9% alcohol by volume, sucrose (sugar) and invert sugar.Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the pack.

5g juice contains: thyme herb fluid extract (1:2-2.5) 250mg, primrose root fluid extract (1:2-2.5) 125 mg. Other ingredients: invert sugar solution, caramel, sodium benzoate, purified water, ethanol.
