ACC® Children's Juice is a cough syrup that was specially developed for children aged 2 and over.It helps to loosen thick mucus in the airways and makes it easier to cough up.The juice is alcohol-free, sugar-free and dye-free and has a pleasant cherry flavor.Thanks to the practical dosing aid, the right amount can be dosed easily and safely.

How does a cough occur and how can ACC® children's juice help?

Coughing is usually caused by viruses that cause inflammation of the mucous membrane in the respiratory tract.This causes viscous mucus to form, which blocks the lungs' self-cleaning mechanism.The active ingredient acetylcysteine in ACC® children's juice liquefies the thick mucus so that it can be coughed up more easily.Acetylcysteine also has an antioxidant effect and reduces the formation of additional mucus.

Active ingredients and ingredients

1 ml of ACC® children's juice contains 20 mg acetylcysteine as an active ingredient.Other ingredients include carmellose sodium, methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate, sodium benzoate, sodium edetate, sodium hydroxide, saccharin sodium, purified water and cherry flavor, which contains propylene glycol.

Area of application

ACC® Children's juice is used to loosen mucus and make it easier to cough up in respiratory diseases with thick mucus.No prescription is required for this product.

Dosage

The dosage depends on the age of the child:

Children aged 2-5 years: 5 ml 2-3 times daily (corresponding to 200-300 mg acetylcysteine daily).

Children aged 6-14 years: 10 ml twice daily (corresponding to 400 mg acetylcysteine daily).

Adults and adolescents aged 14 and over: 10 ml 3 times daily (corresponding to 600 mg acetylcysteine daily).

10 ml of oral solution corresponds to a half-filled measuring cup or 2 dosing aid fillings.

Intake

Take ACC® children's juice after meals.A slight smell of hydrogen sulfide that occurs during storage is harmless and does not affect the effectiveness and tolerability of the preparation.

Contraindications

ACC® Children's juice must not be taken if you are allergic to acetylcysteine or any of the other ingredients of the medicine.The medicine must not be used in children under 2 years of age.

How do I dose ACC® children's juice correctly?

For dosage, use the enclosed measuring cup or the application aid.Open the child-resistant cap on the bottle and press the perforated stopper into the neck of the bottle.Insert the dosing aid firmly into the opening of the stopper and carefully turn the bottle upside down.Pull the plunger down to the prescribed number of milliliters.If more than 5 ml is needed per dose, fill the dosing aid several times.
