NUROFEN® Soft capsules 400 mg Ibuprofen are red soft capsules from Reckitt Benckiser GmbH that are suitable as painkillers for adults and young people aged 12 and over (from 40 kg body weight).The liquid core of the capsules contains ibuprofen in dissolved form, which means the active ingredient is quickly absorbed by the body.This results in rapid and long-lasting relief from mild to moderate pain such as migraines, headaches, toothaches, back pain, abdominal pain, and cold or flu-related pain.In addition, ibuprofen has an anti-inflammatory effect.

No prescription is required for this product.

Area of application

The NUROFEN® soft capsules 400 mg ibuprofen are suitable for the short-term symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain such as headaches, toothaches and period pains as well as fever and pain associated with colds.The liquid core of the capsules ensures rapid absorption of the ibuprofen, resulting in effective pain relief.Ibuprofen belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).

Headache

Headaches are a common problem.According to the Robert Koch Institute, 57.5% of women and 44.4% of men in Germany report being affected by a headache at least once within a year.A typical headache can last less than 30 minutes, but in some cases it can last several hours.

Toothache

Toothaches can be caused by sensitive teeth and gums.A toothache is often a continuous, throbbing pain.In some cases, however, they also occur at intervals, sometimes more and sometimes less strongly.

Back pain

Back pain, particularly low back pain, is a common problem that affects people of all ages.In a nationwide study, 61.3% of people in Germany stated that they had had back pain in the last twelve months.However, there are appropriate options for pain relief.

Period pain

Period pain is the most commonly reported menstrual problem.Most women have experienced period pain at some point.Those who experience menstrual pain usually find that the pain begins in their teens, 1-2 years after the first period, when the cycle is established.

Application instructions

Oral medicines.Don't chew.Take 1 soft capsule with water.If necessary, you can take another capsule (400 mg ibuprofen) every 6 hours.Do not exceed the maximum daily dose of 3 capsules (1200 mg) in 24 hours.For patients who have a sensitive stomach, it is recommended to take NUROFEN® with a meal.

Active ingredient: 400 mg ibuprofen.Excipients: Capsule contents: Macrogol 600, potassium hydroxide, purified water.Capsule shell: gelatin, solution of partially dehydrated sorbitol (Ph.Eur.) (E420), Ponceau 4R (E124), purified water.Printing ink: titanium dioxide (E171), propylene glycol, hypromellose (E464).

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the above ingredients, the product should not be used.Nurofen must not be taken if you are allergic to ibuprofen, Ponceau 4R (E124) or any of the other ingredients of Nurofen.The product should also not be taken if you have certain pre-existing illnesses or in special life situations, such as in the last three months of pregnancy.

Dosage

Adults and adolescents weighing 40 kg or more (12 years or older) should first take 1 capsule (400 mg ibuprofen) with water.If necessary, you can take another capsule every 6 hours.The maximum daily dose is 3 capsules (1200 mg ibuprofen) within 24 hours.The capsules should not be chewed.For patients with sensitive stomachs, it is recommended to take NUROFEN® with a meal.

Pregnancy

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.You must not take the product in the last 3 months of pregnancy.Avoid using this medicine in the first 6 months of pregnancy unless your doctor tells you otherwise.Only small amounts of ibuprofen and its breakdown products pass into breast milk, therefore this medicine can be taken during breast-feeding if used at the recommended dosage and for the shortest possible time.

Notes
