Area of application

This medicine is a pain reliever and antipyretic used to treat mild to moderate pain and fever.It acts as an analgesic and antipyretic.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The main active ingredient of this medicine is paracetamol with a dosage of 500 mg per hard capsule.In addition, it contains various excipients such as gelatin, indigo carmine, talc and titanium dioxide.

Contraindications

This medicine must not be taken if you are hypersensitive to paracetamol or any of the other ingredients.Its use is also contraindicated in cases of severe liver dysfunction.

Dosage

The dosage depends on the patient's body weight and age.As a rule, the single dose is 10 to 15 mg of paracetamol per kilogram of body weight, with the maximum daily dose not exceeding 60 mg per kilogram of body weight.

For children between 11 and 12 years of age weighing 33 to 43 kg, the single dose is one hard capsule and the maximum daily dose is four hard capsules.For people weighing 43 kg or more, one to two hard capsules can be taken as a single dose, with the maximum daily dose being eight hard capsules.

The dosing interval should be at least six hours.If symptoms persist beyond three days, a doctor should be consulted.The medicine should not be taken for longer than three days without medical advice.

In case of liver or kidney dysfunction, the dose must be adjusted or the dose interval must be extended.In cases of severe renal insufficiency, a minimum interval of eight hours should be maintained between doses.This medicine is not suitable for children under 11 years of age or weighing less than 33 kg.

No prescription is required for this product.

Intake

The hard capsules should be swallowed whole with plenty of liquid, preferably a glass of water.Taking it after meals may result in a delayed effect.

Patient information

Particular caution is required in the case of chronic alcoholism, liver dysfunction or previously damaged kidneys.In these cases, a doctor should be consulted before taking it.If symptoms worsen or do not improve after three days, you should see a doctor.

It should be ensured that no other medicines taken at the same time contain paracetamol to avoid the risk of overdose.Long-term, high-dose use may cause headaches, which should not be treated with increased doses.Long-term use of painkillers can cause kidney damage.

The medicine has no influence on the ability to drive, but caution should be exercised after taking it.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Medical advice should be sought before taking during pregnancy or breastfeeding.The medicine should only be taken during pregnancy after careful consideration of the benefit-risk ratio and not over a long period of time or in high doses.Paracetamol passes into breast milk, but there are no known adverse effects on the infant, so interruption of breastfeeding is usually not necessary.

Other

Long-term, high-dose use of painkillers can cause headaches that should not be treated with increased doses.Long-term use can cause kidney damage.When stopping abruptly after long-term use, withdrawal symptoms such as headache, fatigue and nervousness may occur, which resolve within a few days.

The medicine must not be taken with alcohol.The total dose of paracetamol for adults should not exceed 4 g daily.In the event of an overdose, medical attention should be sought immediately.
