The cough syrup contains 40 mg of ivy leaf extract, made with ethanol 50% (V/V) and propylene glycol (98:2) as an extractant.Other excipients include glycerol, hyetellose, hydrogenated PEG castor oil, propylene glycol, sorbitol solution 70%, sorbitol, fructose, star anise oil and purified water.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be taken if you are hypersensitive to ivy leaves or any of the other ingredients.It should also not be used if you have arginine succinate synthetase deficiency (metabolic disease of the urea cycle).

Dosage

Always take the medicine exactly as directed.You should not take it for more than a few days without a doctor's advice.If you have any questions about dosage, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

The usual dose for adults and children over 10 years of age is 5 ml of cough syrup three times a day.Children from 4 to 10 years should take 2.5 ml four times a day, children from 1 to 4 years should take 2.5 ml three times a day and children up to one year should take 2.5 ml once a day.

If you accidentally take one or two more doses, there will usually be no adverse consequences.At significantly higher amounts, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea could occur.In this case, you should contact a doctor.

If you forget to take a dose, do not take a double dose next time, but continue taking it as prescribed.

Intake

The cough syrup is intended to be taken orally.Take it undiluted and then drink enough liquid, preferably drinking water.

No prescription is required for this product.If symptoms persist or if you experience shortness of breath, fever, or purulent or bloody sputum, you should consult a doctor immediately.Due to the vegetable matter content, cloudiness, sediment and/or minor taste deviations may occasionally occur, but these have no influence on the effect.

Notes

Contains sorbitol, propylene glycol and macrogol glycerol hydroxystearate.Do not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the package.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
