Its main ingredient is an extract from ivy leaves.This herbal ingredient has been scientifically proven and makes the cough syrup an effective remedy for colds of the respiratory tract and improves the symptoms of chronic inflammatory bronchial diseases.

Thanks to its alcohol-free recipe, the cough syrup is suitable for children aged 0 and over.The gluten- and lactose-free composition promotes good tolerability, especially in infants, children and adolescents with acute viral bronchitis.

Area of application

The herbal medicine is used for colds of the respiratory tract to relieve the symptoms.It is also suitable for improving the symptoms of chronic inflammatory bronchial diseases.No prescription is required for this product.

If symptoms persist for a long time or if shortness of breath, fever or purulent or bloody sputum occur, a doctor should be consulted immediately.

The cough syrup contains 40 mg of ivy leaf extract, made with ethanol 50% (V/V) and propylene glycol (98:2) as an extractant.Other excipients are glycerol, hyetellose, PEG castor oil (hydrogenated), propylene glycol, sorbitol solution 70% (non-crystallizing), 1.75 g sorbitol, 0.44 g fructose, 0.15 BE total carbohydrates, star anise oil and purified water.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be taken if you are hypersensitive to ivy leaves or any of the other ingredients.The product should also not be used if you have arginine succinate synthetase deficiency (a metabolic disease of the urea cycle).

Dosage

Always take the medicine exactly as directed.If you are unsure, please ask your doctor or pharmacist.

The usual dose for adults and children over 10 years of age is 5 ml of cough syrup three times a day.Children from 4 to 10 years should take 2.5 ml four times a day, children from 1 to 4 years should take 2.5 ml three times a day. For children from 0 to 1 year, 2.5 ml should be taken once a day.

Do not take this medicine for more than a few days without medical advice.Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if the effect is too strong or too weak.

Accidental overdose may cause nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.In this case you should contact a doctor.If you miss a dose, do not take a double dose next time but continue taking it as prescribed.

Intake

The cough syrup is intended to be taken orally.Please take it undiluted and then drink enough liquid, preferably drinking water.

Patient information

No special caution is required when taking it.No special precautions regarding the ability to drive or use machines are necessary.

Pregnancy

Before taking any medicines, ask your doctor or pharmacy for advice.This medicine should not be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding as there are no sufficient studies.

Notes

The cough syrup contains sorbitol, propylene glycol and macrogol glycerol hydroxystearate.Do not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the package.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
