Cetirizine 10 - 1 A Pharma is an anti-allergy medicine used to relieve nasal and eye symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis and to relieve hives (urticaria) in adults and children aged 6 years and over. It contains the active substance cetirizine dihydrochloride. The film-coated tablets should be taken unchewed with a glass of liquid and can be divided into equal doses if necessary. The recommended dosage is 10 mg (1 film-coated tablet) once daily for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age and 5 mg (1/2 film-coated tablet) twice daily for children 6-12 years of age. A lower dose is recommended for those with impaired kidney function. Side effects may include drowsiness, dizziness, headache, diarrhoea, nausea and tiredness. In case of allergic reactions or serious side effects, the intake should be stopped immediately and a doctor should be consulted. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking the medicine. The medicine should be kept out of the reach of children and should not be used after the expiry date.
