The active ingredient is Escherichia coli strain Nissle 1917. An enteric-coated hard capsule contains 2.5-25 x 10^9 reproductive cells (CFU) of Escherichia coli strain Nissle 1917. The other ingredients are maltodextrin, talc, poly(methacrylic acid-co-methyl methacrylate) (1:1), macrogol (4000), bleached wax,Triethyl Citrate, Glycerol 85%, Titanium Dioxide, Iron(III)Oxide, Gelatin, Carnauba Wax, Shellac and Purified Water.

Contraindications

This medicine must not be taken if you are allergic to E. coli strain Nissle 1917 or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Dosage

Always take this medicine exactly as described or exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.

The recommended dose (standard dose) for adolescents aged 12 - 18 years and adults is 1 capsule per day from days 1 - 4, then 2 capsules per day.If you have persistent constipation, taking up to 4 capsules daily can be useful.

If there is inflammation of the colon (ulcerative colitis) in the remission-free period, the medicine should be taken long-term and regularly.If you have constipation (constipation), the product can be used for up to 6 weeks.If constipation has existed for years, it should be used as a treatment and the therapy should be repeated at certain intervals.

If you have taken more than you should, no special measures are necessary.

If you forget to take a dose, do not take a double dose.The intake should be continued - regardless of the missed intake - while maintaining the previous dosage.
