Salus hawthorn herbal drops are a traditional herbal medicine used to support cardiovascular function.This product is available without a prescription.

The medicine is registered for the area of application solely based on long-term use.It contains extracts of hawthorn leaves, flowers and fruits dissolved in ethanol and fortified wine.It also contains sulfur dioxide (E 220) and 25% alcohol by volume.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The active ingredients in Salus hawthorn herbal drops are hawthorn berry extract and hawthorn leaf and flower extract, both in a ratio of 1:5 with ethanol as an extractant.Ethanol is included as an auxiliary ingredient.100 ml of the liquid contains 100 ml extract of hawthorn leaves with flowers and hawthorn fruits in a ratio of 1:4.5 to 1:5.5, dissolved in fortified wine and ethanol.

Application

Adults take 2 ml of the drops three times a day.If the cause is unclear, self-medication should be stopped after two weeks.If you have symptoms such as water retention in your legs or unclear symptoms, it is advisable to see a doctor.If you experience pain in the heart area or shortness of breath, immediate medical attention is required.

Notes

Salus hawthorn herbal drops must not be taken if there is hypersensitivity to hawthorn.There is no sufficient study available for children and adolescents under the age of 18, so the medicine should not be used because of the alcohol content.The expiry date on the pack should be noted.

For diabetics: 2 ml drops correspond to less than 0.1 bread units (BE).
