One tablet of Valerian-Dispert 45 mg contains 45 mg of valerian root dry extract (3-6:1) as an active ingredient, with ethanol 70% (V/V) serving as the extractant.

The other ingredients include arabic gum, carmellose sodium, carnauba wax, dextrin, bleached wax, hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, colloidal silicon dioxide, light magnesium oxide, macrogol 4000, macrogol 6000, magnesium stearate (Ph. Eur.), microcrystalline cellulose, povidone K 25, sucrose, shellac, talc and titanium dioxide(E171).

Contraindications

Valerian-Dispert 45 mg coated tablets should not be used if you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients mentioned.Due to insufficient experience, use in children under 12 years of age and during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not recommended.

Dosage

Adults and children over 12 years old can take 1-3 tablets 1-3 times a day.The tablets should be taken whole and, if possible, after meals with sufficient liquid.The duration of use is in principle not limited.

Intake

The coated tablets should be taken whole after meals with plenty of liquid, preferably a glass of drinking water.Taking it while lying down is not recommended.

Application

The recommended dose for adolescents over 12 years of age and adults to treat mild restlessness is 10 to 12 coated tablets (equivalent to approx. 2 g of valerian root) 1 to 3 times a day.To treat sleep disorders, 10 to 12 coated tablets (equivalent to approx. 2 g of valerian root) should be taken ½ to 1 hour before going to bed.If necessary, an additional 10 to 12 coated tablets can be taken earlier in the evening.The maximum daily dose is 48 coated tablets.

Instructions for use

Valerian-Dispert 45 mg coated tablets may impair the ability to drive and use machines, especially in combination with alcohol.Do not drink alcohol during use.The preparation contains lactose and sucrose (sugar), so you should only take it after consulting your doctor if you have an intolerance to certain sugars.

The duration of application is in principle not limited.Due to the gradual onset of effects, valerian root is not suitable for the acute treatment of mild restlessness and sleep disorders.For optimal treatment success, continuous use over 2-4 weeks is recommended.If symptoms persist or worsen after two weeks of use, you should consult a doctor or pharmacist.

Do not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the package.
