Panthenol 100 mg JENAPHARM®

Panthenol 100 mg JENAPHARM® is a vitamin preparation that is used in adolescents aged 12 and over and adults to support the treatment of inflammation of the mouth and throat mucosa and to treat pantothenic acid deficiency.These deficiencies can occur, for example, in chronic dialysis patients or lead to abnormal sensations and pain in the toes and soles of the feet, as occurs in burning feet syndrome.No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The active ingredient in Panthenol 100 mg JENAPHARM® is dexpanthenol.Each tablet contains 100 mg of dexpanthenol.The preparation also contains the following other ingredients: sucrose, precipitated silicon dioxide, potato starch, talc, gelatin, glycerol 85%, lemon flavor, magnesium stearate (Ph.Eur.) and saccharin sodium.

Areas of application

Panthenol 100 mg JENAPHARM® is used to support inflammation of the mouth and throat mucosa and to treat pantothenic acid deficiency states that cannot be remedied through diet.These include, for example, supplementation for chronic dialysis patients and the treatment of discomfort and pain in the toes and soles of the feet caused by pantothenic acid deficiency, as occurs in burning feet syndrome.

Dosage and intake

To support the treatment of inflammation of the mouth and throat mucosa, three tablets should be slowly dissolved in the mouth every day.In the case of pantothenic acid deficiency, it is recommended to take one tablet daily with sufficient liquid, preferably a glass of drinking water (200 ml).It can be taken without regard to a meal.

Contraindications

Panthenol 100 mg JENAPHARM® should not be used if hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients is known.
