Visine Yxin eye drops contain the active ingredient tetryzoline hydrochloride and are used to decongest the mucous membranes in cases of eye irritation, for example caused by smoke, wind, chlorinated water and light, and in cases of allergic inflammation such as hay fever and hypersensitivity to pollen. The drops must not be used if you are allergic to tetryzoline hydrochloride, have glaucoma or are a child under 2 years of age. Contact lenses should not be worn during application. The drops should be used according to the doctor's or pharmacist's instructions. Possible side effects include increased blood flow, burning of the mucous membranes, dryness of the mucous membranes and general effects such as palpitations and headaches. If severe eye redness, headache or worsening of vision occurs, a doctor should be consulted immediately. Visine Yxin ED is available in single-dose containers which should be used immediately after opening. The drops should be kept out of the reach of children. The package leaflet should be read before use and the doctor or pharmacist should be contacted in case of side effects. Certain maximum quantities apply to the dispensing of the medicine. The dosage and directions for use state that adults and children aged 2 years and over should instil 1 drop into the conjunctival sac 2-3 times a day. The duration of use should not exceed 5 days and should not be in high dosage. In the event of an overdose, medical attention should be sought immediately.
