Information for use of the article NATUCOR 450MG: NATUCOR 450 mg film-coated tablets contain the active substance Crataegus laevigata (Poir.) DC and are used to treat moderate heart failure. The dosage is 2 x 1 film-coated tablet. NATUCOR is an effective herbal medicine that promotes cardiac output, strengthens the heart muscle, improves blood circulation and stabilises the heart rhythm. It has no particular side effects and is well tolerated. The film-coated tablets are easy to divide and are highly dosed. Natucor® 450 mg contains hawthorn leaves with dry flower extract. The film-coated tablets contain 600 mg or 450 mg dry extract of hawthorn leaves with flowers (4-7:1), as well as other excipients such as lactose monohydrate, cellulose powder, maltodextrin, croscarmellose sodium, highly dispersed silicon dioxide, eudragitol E 12.5, magnesium stearate, talc, titanium dioxide and macrogol 6000. Natucor® 450 mg Film-Coated Tablets are used in cases of declining cardiac performance according to stage II to NYHA . The medicinal product is contraindicated in cases of hypersensitivity to hawthorn or any of the other ingredients, in children under 12 years of age and during pregnancy and breast-feeding. Rare side effects may include gastrointestinal complaints, weakness or skin rash. The recommended dosage is 1 film-coated tablet twice a day for adolescents aged 12 and over and adults. The tablet should be taken with sufficient liquid and not while lying down. The duration of use depends on the type of symptoms and/or the course of the disease and should be at least 6 weeks. The duration of use is determined by the attending physician. An overdose of the medicinal product is not known. If the medicine is forgotten, it should be taken again at the next prescribed time. There are no special warnings regarding the use of the medicinal product. However, caution should be exercised in case of allergy to binding agents and intolerance to lactose.
