Description

Natucor is a herbal medicine made from leaves and flowers of hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna and Crataegus laevigata).Hawthorn improves the contraction force and stroke volume of the heart as well as blood flow and oxygen supply to the heart muscle.For this reason, the medicine is used when the heart's performance declines.

Area of application

This herbal medicine is used for heart diseases.It is used when the heart's performance declines, corresponding to stage II according to the classification of the New York Heart Association (NYHA).

Active ingredients and ingredients

Each film-coated tablet contains 450 mg dry extract of hawthorn leaves and flowers in a ratio of 4-7:1.Ethanol 45% (V/V) is used as an extractant.In addition, the preparation contains the following excipients: cellulose powder, croscarmellose sodium, iron (III) oxide, Eudragit E 100, glucose, lactose monohydrate, macrogol 6000, magnesium stearate, maltodextrin, highly disperse silicon dioxide, talc, titanium dioxide and 1 mmol total sodium ions.

Contraindications

This medicine must not be taken if you are allergic to dry extract of hawthorn leaves with flowers or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Dosage

Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or exactly as your doctor or pharmacist tells you.Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.

Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose for adults and adolescents aged 12 and over is 1 film-coated tablet twice a day.The recommended duration of use is a minimum of 6 weeks and a maximum of 6 months.The treating doctor should then determine the further duration of use.

No prescription is required for this product.

If you take more than you should, continue taking it as directed or as directed by your doctor.In the event of a significant overdose, increased side effects may occur, in which case you should consult a doctor.

If you forget to take a dose, do not take a double dose, but continue taking it as directed or as directed by your doctor.

Interrupting or prematurely ending treatment is usually harmless.If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Intake

Patient information

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking the medicine, if the symptoms of the disease persist for more than six weeks or if water accumulates in the legs.If you have pain in the heart area that can radiate to the arms, upper abdomen or neck area, or if you have difficulty breathing, immediate medical attention is essential.

There are no sufficient studies on the use of this medicine in children under 12 years of age.It should therefore not be taken by children under 12 years of age.

No special precautions are required regarding the ability to drive or use machines.

Pregnancy

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

The widespread use of hawthorn as a medicine has not yet resulted in any evidence of risks during pregnancy and breastfeeding.However, there are no results from experimental studies.The medicine should therefore not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Notes

If the symptoms persist for more than six weeks or if water accumulates in the legs, you should consult your doctor.If you have pain in the heart area that can radiate to the arms, upper abdomen or neck area, or if you have shortness of breath, a medical evaluation is essential.

Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
