Instructions for use for Tebonin® forte 40 mg film-coated tablets, 200 pcs
Area of application
The medicine is a herbal remedy that promotes blood circulation and contains an extract of ginkgo leaves. It is used for the symptomatic treatment of organic brain-related performance disorders as part of an overall therapeutic concept for dementia syndromes. These include memory problems, difficulty concentrating, depressive moods, dizziness, ringing in the ears and headaches.
The primary target group are patients with dementia syndrome in primary degenerative dementia, vascular dementia and mixed forms of both. Before treatment is started, it should be clarified whether the symptoms of the disease are not due to an underlying disease that requires specific treatment.
In addition, the drug is used to extend the pain-free walking distance in peripheral arterial disease in stage II to FONTAINE (intermittent claudication, "intermittent claudication") as part of physical therapeutic measures, in particular walking training.
The medicine can also be used for dizziness and ringing in the ears of vascular and involutive origin (as a result of circulatory disorders or age-related regression processes).
If the memory problems, concentration problems or headaches persist for longer than 3 months despite using the medication as directed, a doctor should be consulted, as these may be illnesses that require medical clarification.Depressive moods or frequent dizziness and ringing in the ears generally require clarification by a doctor.

Dosage
Always take the medicine exactly as directed. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose for the symptomatic treatment of organic brain-related performance disorders is 1 - 2 tablets 3 times a day.To extend the pain-free walking distance with peripheral arterial disease, take 1½ - 2 tablets twice a day.For dizziness and ringing in the ears of vascular and involutive origin, take 1½ - 2 tablets twice a day.
In the case of performance disorders caused by organic brain disorders, the duration of treatment should be at least 8 weeks. After a treatment period of 3 months, the doctor must check whether continued treatment is still justified. In the case of arterial occlusive disease in the limbs, an improvement in walking distance requires a treatment period of at least 6 weeks. In the case of dizziness, use over a period longer than 6 to 8 weeks does not improve the treatment result. If you have ringing in the ears, supportive treatment should last for at least 12 weeks. If there is no success after 6 months, this can no longer be expected even with longer treatment.
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of the medicine is too strong or too weak.
If you take more medicine than you should, please notify a doctor. This can decide on any necessary measures.
