Prostess® uno is a herbal medicine made from the fruits of the saw palmetto (Serenoa repens).The saw palmetto is a type of palm tree native to the southeast of the USA .The ingredients in the purple to black fruits have a regulating effect on the prostate.This medicine is used for urinary problems caused by a benign enlargement of the prostate.No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredients and ingredients

Each capsule contains 320 mg of saw palmetto fruit thick extract, which is made with ethanol 90% (m/m) as an extractant.Other ingredients include gelatin, glycerol 85%, glycerol, sorbitol, patent blue V, dark brown iron (III) oxide hydrate, iron(II,III) oxide and purified water.

Area of application

Prostess® uno is used for urinary problems caused by a benign enlargement of the prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia).These include symptoms such as frequent urination, a weak urine stream or a delayed start to emptying the bladder.The medicine helps to increase urine flow and promote complete emptying of the bladder, which can reduce symptoms such as frequent urination.

It is important to note that Prostess® uno only relieves the discomfort without resolving the enlargement of the prostate.Therefore, you should consult your doctor at regular intervals.A doctor's consultation is particularly necessary if there is blood in the urine or acute urinary retention.

Dosage

Unless otherwise prescribed, take one capsule (320 mg saw palmetto fruit thick extract) once a day after eating.Swallow the capsule with plenty of liquid, such as a glass of water.The application is only intended for men aged 18 and over.Children and adolescents should not take the medicine.

The duration of treatment is determined by your doctor.Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you feel that the effect is too strong or too weak.If you have taken a larger amount than intended, the gastrointestinal symptoms may increase.In this case you should stop taking the medicine and consult a doctor.

If you forget to take it, do not take more than the prescribed amount of capsules next time.Do not stop taking it without consulting your doctor, as the treatment is usually long-term therapy.

Patient information

Particular caution is required when taking certain other medications at the same time.These include antiandrogens such as finasteride or flutamide, therapeutic androgens and anticoagulant drugs such as ibuprofen, ASS or anticoagulants.Caution is also advised if you suffer from a blood clotting disorder or are about to undergo surgical or dental procedures.

If you suffer from high blood pressure, you should have your blood pressure checked regularly.Please see your doctor regularly as the medicine does not correct the enlargement of the prostate.As a check before and regularly during treatment, a medical examination should be carried out for the early detection of prostate cancer.

No special precautions are required when driving a vehicle or operating machines.

Pregnancy

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, you should only take medication after consulting your doctor or pharmacist.

Prostess® uno contains sorbitol.Please note the package leaflet.The medicine is suitable for use by men aged 18 and over.Treatment with Prostess® uno should only be carried out under medical supervision after a confirmed diagnosis.

Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
