Instructions for use of the article Pasta Zinci Oxidat. Mollis Sr Pasta Zinci oxidati mollis SR is a 30% paste for application to the skin. The active ingredient zinc oxide has a covering-protective and secretion-binding effect on acute and subacute skin diseases. The paste must not be used if the patient is hypersensitive to zinc, lanolin alcohols, peanut, soy or other components of the paste. When using, large areas of skin covering more than 20% of the body surface should be avoided and contact with the eyes or mucous membranes should be avoided. Pregnant and lactating women may use the preparation when used as directed and in accordance with the dosage instructions, but should avoid large-area application. Accidental ingestion may cause nausea, vomiting, gastritis and fever. Possible side effects are reddening of the skin and, in case of hypersensitivity to wool wax alcohols, redness and skin inflammation. It should not be used after the expiry date or after the preparation has been opened. In addition to zinc oxide, the composition also contains yellow vaseline, peanut oil, sorbitan trioleate and wool wax alcohols. The dosage consists of applying several times a day to the affected skin areas and covering with gauze if necessary. The duration of application is not limited. The application is also made several times a day, also for infants at each nappy change. Precautions SR for use should be observed, such as avoiding application to large areas of skin and contact with the eyes or mucous membranes. Pregnant women should avoid large area application.
